A catalogue of +500 models, from jugs to crimps. We fine-tune the selection to your wall and to your kind of climber, and you sign it off. All translucent and textured with corundum straight out of the mould: they grip, they last, and they light up whole on the wall.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work for rope or auto-belay climbing?
Yes, and it’s what makes Custom unique: it’s the only Shiny system for bouldering, rope and auto-belay. The Standard range is bouldering only; if you want routes or height, this is your product.
Is there a minimum or maximum size?
There’s no minimum or maximum. As a reference, the smallest we’d recommend for a climbing gym is around 2.4 × 3 m (below that, it can still work for other uses); above, there’s no cap: we’ve reached 12 m in height.
Can I choose the holds?
Yes. We have a catalogue of +500 models and we propose a selection designed for your wall and your kind of climber; you sign it off and adjust whatever you want.
Does it come with routes already loaded?
No, and that’s the trade-off of being 100% bespoke: it arrives with no preloaded routes. Your routesetters and the climbers at your gym create them, and setting their own routes makes the wall feel more theirs.
Do I need my own structure?
We work on your structure: the LED system (holds, LEDs and electronics) is fitted over the wall you already have or one you’re going to build. The building work is yours; we digitise it.
How long does a Custom project take?
We give you an approximate quote in under 48 h. From the first payment, manufacturing and delivery take less than 3 months.
Does the app work the same?
Yes, it’s the same app and the same game modes as every other Shiny system. And because your wall is unique, we personalise it with a photo of your installation.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, it’s designed for you to fit it yourself. It arrives in a box with all the material and a detailed manual, and we’re a message away for any questions.
Does it work outdoors?
No, it’s for indoor use only. The holds don’t light up well in full sunlight and they degrade with prolonged exposure.
What happens when I move the holds?
If you move them, the saved routes reset, and that’s almost an advantage: you get new moves and the wall feels brand new. Send us a photo of how it ends up and we’ll build it back into the app, at no extra cost.
